TunGenomes: Tunisian Genomic Biodiversity Hub

About the TunGenomes Project

TunGenomes is a strategic bioinformatics initiative designed to aggregate, standardize, and centralize all publicly available genomic sequences related to Tunisian clinical isolates and environmental samples.

Our Aim

To foster precision medicine and ecological research in Tunisia by providing scientists with a curated directory of metadata, enabling faster access to regional genomic data for comparative genomics and epidemiology.

Data Content

We catalog metadata including sample origins, sequencing platforms, assembly quality, and direct links to NCBI/ENA/DDBJ repositories for Bacteria, Archaea, Viruses, and Eukaryotes.

How to use the Database

1. Navigate through the Kingdoms in the sidebar to view specific metadata tables.

2. Use the Filters above each table to refine results by subdivision or number of records.

3. Click the PMID or NCBI Link to access the original research paper or the raw sequence data.

Data Submission Portal

Contribute to the visibility of Tunisian genomics. Submit metadata for genomes that are already public but not yet cataloged here, or notify us of upcoming releases.
